some funny stuff happened today. in my music history class there was some girl on her laptop browsing the internet during lecture. then she took out her iphone and started playing poker on it. i dunno i thought that was funny. also i overheard a boy and a girl talking and i swear i heard the boy say, "20 bucks to let me touch your tits?" that was funny. i should have a new song up on my myspace by the end of the night hopefully. its pretty emulative but whatever. i had fun making it.

Tinted Tunes
Everybody has a blogspot now. I have had one for a bit. I made it when I was bored one day. I decided to use it more often to keep track of my life and such. It is much more streamlined than livejournal and offers more tools that make blogging easier. It just feels way more legit. I got two new songs in the works right now that utilize my new sampler I got not too long ago. They are super fun to play and I will definitely play them at Fun Collective in a couple weeks. I hope to have a couple other songs figured out by then too.
I am taking some recording classes here at Western that are super awesome. I am learning a bunch about audio recording and am really excited to start recording some of my own stuff at home. The next recording class requires students to actually engineer a studio session with a band of their choosing. There are so many great bands that I would love to record, and I cant wait until next quarter so I can have a chance to record them.
I have been thinking about my next music release. I am gonna try to record just the barebones tracks without overdubs or eq, then mix and polish all the songs at the same time afterwards so they all sound cohesive. So hopefully this next release will seem really complete and cohesive, two qualities I feel my other releases were missing. I have been pretty inspired by shades of purple, blue and black recently. They remind me of warm nights in California, something that I have really been missing lately. Also I have sketched out a new desing for my next shirt so look for that soon. Sorry for the long first post, it just kinda happened.
